ChargePlanner Roadmap 2025

Always one step ahead in eMobility
2025 is another innovative year for ChargePlanner. With deeper data integrations for CPOs, a new module for truck charging, and major novelties in pricing comparison and revenue prediction, we’re doubling down on what sets us apart: best-in-class data, highly accurate predictions, and location network optimization at scale.
Here’s what’s ahead:
New regions & updated data for the future
Smart location decisions start with a solid foundation of data. In 2025, we’re expanding our grid and mobility insights, and rolling out our EV solution in new European regions.
Visualize the current Grid Capacity
We have expanded our electric grid data to the best of what is available in each country. Grid lines and maximal tension of each line are available in each country. But where available, we also rely on extra open data provided by the local grid operators. In Flanders (in Belgium) and France for example, the available grid capacity and expected connection cost is shown for each landplot in open data provided by Fluvius and Enedis. We hope many grid operators in Europe will follow this example!
Models for tomorrow’s charging network: Truck and AC charging
EV infrastructure is changing fast. Our predictive models make sure you’re in a good position going into the boom of charging infrastructure.
Rolling out our innovative truck charging model all over Europe
Our new location planning module for trucks predicts potential and identifies charging hotspots for slow, fast, and ultra-fast truck charging. Created to help CPOs navigate the coming of electric trucks, ChargePlanner for trucks is also available today in multiple countries such as France, Germany, Spain, The Netherlands and Belgium.
Identify opportunities with integrated charging needs for 2030
Our solution for car charging now also includes detailed analyses and maps to define the charging needs per living block and municipality for the coming years. By defining the expected future demand per living block and comparing this with the currently installed capacity, it becomes possible to define how much power still needs to be developed: a handy tool for regional governments and municipalities to plan the infrastructure in their territory.
See an example of current vs future charging needs in our German market report.
Optimize the performance of your existing charging sites
We’re making ChargePlanner the go-to tool for designing optimal location-based pricing, and energy supply strategies:
Location-based pricing
Are you worried about pricing at your locations? We know price sensitivity is rising, but by how much? How does it affect the revenue and margin of each location? Rolling out our price optimization models in more countries this year, ChargePlanner has you covered. Don’t keep guessing. Know how to improve your margins with a few simple clicks.
Energy supply strategies aligned to the charging insights by time of day
Would solar panels and battery storage systems boost your profitability? By monitoring the local activity, it becomes possible to predict your future usage per period of the day and week. In this way you get the data you need to optimise your energy supply and expected electricity cost.
